Discord.io suffers huge information breach, publicizes closure

Discord.io, a service that allowed customers to create customized hyperlinks for his or her Discord channels, is closing down following a big information breach.

A hacker stole the information of 760,000 customers, per TechRadar, and has posted a pattern on Breached Boards as a way to probably promote it. The discord.io website now shows a message saying “we’re stopping all operations for the foreseeable future”.

The third-party service has damaged down precisely what’s and is not contained within the stolen information in an inventory.

The service says it has cancelled present premium subscriptions. They add that they’ve but to be contacted by the hacker, and so far as they know “the database itself has no but been shared publicly”.
